    Hello hello
My name is Karina and I’m a graphic designer & illustrator based in “Vancouver”.
I love finding the aesthetics in life, and I try to incorporate everyday things into my work.
I’m keen on branding and editorial design, and enjoy playing around with illustrations and typography.

In my spare time I’m baking, taking long walks, or buying useless trinkets online.
Talk to me about anything ✌︎

Branding and Web Design | Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma

Braids Co. is a fictional clothing brand that I created; a female owned and operated brand located on Vancouver Island. The brand focuses on sustainability and femininity: using organic natural materials such as cotton and linen for their products, while embracing soft and delicate styles and designs.
The pricing reflects these values, targeting people who can afford the luxury of sustainable high quality pieces.

Because of the brand’s close association to nature, I chose a shade of green as the main colour. I wanted the logo to be a direct reflection of the brand name, a common hairstyle that serves as a celebration of femininity.
For typography, the logo as well as any headings/subheadings are Andale Mono, and all bodycopy is Brandon Grotesque.

The five screens I designed from left to right are: the Home screen, the Home screen when the Clothing button is pressed, the New screen, the Dresses screen selected under the Clothing button, and a screen for a particular product (dress).

A little bit of the website in action.
